So far, our farm is fine, but I'm beginning to wonder if "damp" is a color... sarcastic

We've had some flooding in the area.  It's either 80 or 45 here, too.  Ugh!  Some consistency, please!

10+ inches of rain in less than 48 hours has led to me being stuck.  My road washed out, my neighbor's road also washed out which sent their culvert down the creek to my side.  And it's still raining...

Best part?  Our road dept has no idea when they'll be able to fix it. Cry

Thank you, I appreciate that, Mike.  The magistrate for our district is a friend of ours and he has been really good about making sure our road is in good shape.  The road that leads up to our house is a steep slope and when we get driving rains the run off tends to cut deep grooves in the road.  Our friend has made sure to check the road after every big storm and this time, he called me yesterday morning.  (I thought the road was OK when I talked to him because I didn't think anything like this would happen.)  Our road dept has no money and will be using photos of the damage caused by this storm to apply for a grant.  I have no idea how long it will take for them to get the money, so I have no idea when they will fix the road.  Our county suffered major damage to roads and bridges...it's a mess out there from what I hear.

Ekkk! There are advantages to being a stay-home.  Can you imigine if you were needing to get to work and daycare? I sure hope they get you fixed up soon.  I've been through a couple floods.  There is just nothing fun about it.  Is your house staying dry?

I tried to talk Matt into driving home to spend the day with us on Sunday.  blush2 It's a good thing he had enough sense not to.

Our road was fixed yesterday.  I was just hoping they'd have it done by Friday because that is when I have to take care of the usual errands.

I've busted my hinny the last two weekends, ignoring the beautiful spring weather, staying inside painting and packing all so I could spend all of today and do horse stuff.  Guess what?  Rain  Angry
