Anyone see the movie Appaloosa?  I really liked it but lots of people didn't.  Was full of very dry cowboy humor that a lot of people don't enjoy.  Anyhow I've been reading the books that movie was based off of.  They are really good and a quick easy read.  Course you have to like that dry humor like I said....

I did see that movie.  Jeremy Irons was in it, wasn't he?  I really enjoyed it.

We just watched the Tooth Fairy the other night.  What a great movie that was!  I like Dwayne Johnson (AKA The Rock) and am really enjoying his recent adventures in family films.

Can't think who Irons is right now.  Had the guy from Hildago (sp?) in it.

Jeremy Irons played Randell Bragg-the bad guy.  I love watching him play the bad guy!  I even loved him as Scar in the Lion King. yes

We watched the book of Eli.  It was good, not great.  Had a lot of violence but not really any gore so the boys gave it two thumbs up.  Went to the movies with my friends and saw the new movie with di caprio.  Everyone but me thought it was really spooky and freaky and cool.  I was yawning. Maybe I'm just too strung out right now to really enjoy it.

I saw Toy Story 3 last weekend. Very cute. I liked it and I sniffed a bit at the end. Hubby however, fell asleep twice...  lol

We did a back to back showing of Predators and Inception.  Predators was exactly what I expected and I was entertained, just because a friend and I had a running joke about friendly Predators - think the "My Buddy" doll commercial but with the words "My Preddy."

Inception was good, but you really had to pay attention.  After sitting in a theater for 3 hours, my attention span was shot.  The end was exactly what I expected, too.

Anyone else excited about The Other Guys, with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg?   yahoo

The Other Guys does look pretty funny, though I have to say, Will Ferrell just doesn't do much for me.  I find him somewhat funny and sometimes really annoying, but it depends on the movie.  (I guess that shows his range as an actor...)

I'd like to see the Expendables.  I like a good action flick from time to time, but I don't go out of my way to watch them.  I liked the Crank movies, but I only watched them because Chester Bennington had cameos in both.  But this Expendables movies-with it's cast of top notch action stars like Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren (who will always be *the* best Punisher and best Rocky opponent ever...), Steve Austin, and other good actors like Eric Roberts and Mickey Rourke-well, it just seems like this movie can't be missed.  (Though it's possible that it will have *too much* star power...)  I'd like to see it just for satisfying the curiosity of how all those actors are going to play off of each other.

I hear there's a third Batman movie in the works.  I was pleased to hear the director won't be bringing back the Joker-saying Heath Ledger played that role so definitively that no one else can take his place. I can't wait to see who the villain, or villains, will be. spiteful
